1987 O’Day 40

A good example of the popular O’Day 40. One of the last examples built.

Refitted in Annapolis in the early 2000’s prior to cruising the Caribbean. In recent years she has mainly been used as a liveaboard although the boat has received regular maintenance and is in fully in commission ready to resume cruising.

Providing accomodation for six in two double cabins plus convertible berths in the saloon. A single head with shower plus an additional vanity unit in the full width rear master cabin.

Fully airconditioned with reverse cycle heating, although unused for several years.

The refit included a new Westerbeke 44hp engine, still with low hours, new standing and running rigging, Doyle sails, new electrical systems, battery charging and inverter, Raymarine electronics and autopilot, Lewmar hatches and portlights, upholstery, and more.

Recent additions include solar panels capable of running the boat, including the fridge, without the need to run the engine.

An ideal boat to liveaboard  and to cruise the Caribbean islands on a budget.

Currently lying in Antigua.
